    Mini She

Hey, guys! Today I have an amazing tutorial for you guys: we're going to learn how to make a mini chibi girl (0:08). She's really cute...and, surprisingly, it's the second chibi girl I've ever made.

For this project, you'll need four colors of clay, and they are tan - a light skin-colored - clay for the head, a little bit of white for the chibi headband, blue for the body and the rose, and yellow clay for the hair.

    Small Rolls

Okay, so you want to start with the lightest color first (white clay). Just roll a snake for the headband (0:58)...And then cut just a very tiny bit. You can, basically, now move that away (off to the side). Now you want to make the head of the chibi (tan clay). Basically, you want to roll a simple ball for the head.

When you're done with that, now it's time to make the body (blue). Just leave a little bit of the clay for the rose (1:37). Again you want to first make a ball. Now you want to start rolling it into a cone. Flatten the cone on top (one end). Then roll the clay again, so that the top of the cone is thinner than the bottom...Now that it is pretty good (2:13) - I would say - then you want to take the head and place it on the chibi body that you just made. So put the head on the body.

    Short Hairs

Now it's time for the biggest part: the hair of the chibi. You can really choose whatever color you want. In this case, I choose this yellow color. We're making curly hair. I think the hair is the part that takes the longest, because we need to make every strand individually. So I'm going to show you how to make a hair strand.

Take a piece of (yellow) clay, and start rolling it into a snake; I'm going to make it so thin (3:29). And then you want to choose how long you want your chibi's hair. So I want to have it about an inch and a half long. Now I'm going to take (the strand) and curl it, and then attach it to the head. You can use a toothpick to help you. It looks a little funny right now (4:14), but at the end it will look pretty...I'm going to show you once more (how to make a hair strand). Roll some yellow clay into a snake. Grab one end of the clay hair strand, and then you start twisting it into a curl; do it kind of slow. Then put that also on the head (5:01). It may look hard, but it's not so hard.

I'm going to fast forward through this tutorial or else it'll take a really long time...Now we're done with the hair (6:58), guys, we're going to take the headband that we made and we'll add it (to the chibi's head). When you add it, place the ends under the hair.

    Little Flower

So now I'll show you how to make the rose. Take a little ball of blue clay (from the portion set aside from the body). Press it flat, then roll it into a cone (7:36). Take another ball of clay, squish this also, and wrap it around the first cone. It's (the rose is) kind of hard to make when it's so small...Repeat with a third little ball of clay (8:37). Now you just want to cut off the pointed stem of the rose. Then you want to place it on the headband (on the girl chibi's head, 9:11). So now you're done.

    Chibi Charm

OK, I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. So now I'm going to go and bake the mini chibi...oh, I forgot to insert the eye pin (9:35)...and after baking, I'm going to paint the chibi girl's face (i.e., create the eyes) with acrylics; you can choose to make (the eyes) out of polymer clay...Again, I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. Feel free to post requests. Bye!!
