     Valentine's Day Love Tea Bag

Hey! Today I'm going to show you how to make little Valentine tea bag things; they're really cute. I have one right here (0:14)...

    Materials List:
    - red and pink cardstock
    - scissors
    - tea bag
    - Valentine stamps
    - thin red or pink ribbon
    - hole punch

Okay, I'm going to use pink cardstock. Hold the sheet crosswise and cut it in half. It doesn't have to be a perfect straight line. You can either cut out your own hearts, or use a professional heart-cutter to get the perfect heart. So I'm going to use my Sizzix - big Sizzix - which is spontaneously right by my side. I just put the paper (half) over it, and just roll. If you don't have a Sizzix, cut the hearts out by hand...Done! Repeat this step with red cardstock. (Note: one of the hearts should be cut slightly bigger than the other.)

Now pick a tea...You're going to need to pick a tea. You can theme your tea for Valentine's Day. I guess pomegranate (tea) would be Valentine-ish. This is a great tea: English breakfast tea is kind of Valentine-ish. Then you have your basic green tea with lemongrass; that's okay. Bedtime tea is my favorite...I'm going to use pomegranate tea. What the Valentine is - pretty much - is a bag pack, you're just making your Valentine tea. Cool...Just open the tea package. (Make sure to clean your hands.) Now you have your tea bag.

Now you're going to measure your (other paper half) according to your tea bag. You're going to want to cut a strip of  paper wider than the tea bag. You want to leave about three quarters of an inch - it doesn't have to be exact - of paper on each of the 2 sides of the bag. That much (3:39), okay? Fold the strip of paper in half crosswise. Punch holes every half inch or so along the edge of one of the folded piece's 2 long dimensions (the piece should be a rectangle). Keep punching this side, and then punch holes on the opposite (long) side evenly. Take a strand of thin ribbon and thread it through the holes on one side, like this (4:28). Use another ribbon strand for the other side. Tie the ribbon knots on their respective sides of the paper.

Now take the tea tag off of its string. Center the smaller cut-out heart on top of the bigger one, and punch a hole through the middle of both of them. Use the holes to tie the tea string onto the hearts. Fold the two top (free, shorter dimension) edges down and outward evenly about half of an inch, so as to form lips on your new pouch. Cut out a fringe pattern on one of the lips. Remove the other lip. Now on the side of the pouch with the remaining (fringed) lip, rubber stamp the face - between the ribbons - with a design of your choice (5:28).

Put the tea bag in the pouch, perching the hearts "tag" on the fringed lip. And you're finished...Bye!
