Gift Them a Hand for Valentine's Day

Hey, it's Maggie here. And I'm going to show you how to make these adorable Valentine's Day hands (0:15).

 

Materials:

- cardstock

- scissors

- finetip glue pen

- glitter

- glitter tray

 

Take your cardstock, and take the hand that you don't write with and put it down on the paper. Get in a good position for it, take a pencil, and just lightly trace your hand. Next, you're just going to cut out your traced hand...And now you have your cut-out hand. Take your finetip glue pen - mine is a Martha Stewart ballpoint glue pen - and look at your nails and try to find the shape of what it looks like; and try to copy that with the glue pen on the cut-out paper hand...

 

I've now glued all my fingernails on the paper (1:49). I'm going to get my new Martha Stewart glitter tray I just got at Michael's, and lay the paper hand in it. The glitter that I'm using for the fingernails is Martha Stewart Garnet; it's a beautiful red and it'll look gorgeous for Valentine's Day...And now you have your fingernail polish. Take your glue pen again and write whatever you want to say on the paper hand. Now glitter what you just wrote...

 

Now I'm just going to put a little ring on a finger (with the glue pen and the glitter)...And now you have an adorable Valentine's Day gift for a friend (2:48). Just sign your name and give it to them. It's really cute...
