Xmas holly berries and leaves made from felt

       Items used:
    felt                glitter
    glue              scissors
    marker         acrylic paint

I took some red felt, and I'm using a marker so I can make some circles for the berries. After I cut this out, I'm going to add some acrylic red paint and I'm going to apply that to the center of it (the berries cut-out) so that you can tell that there are 3 berries instead of a blotch of something (else).

Then, I take some green felt and mark the holly leaf: it's just making a bunch of "C"s, C-shapes (I suppose). You can look online if you want to see how the shape looks. I'm going to draw these along side my holly berries to make sure I'm doing them (the leaves) the right size. I'm going to draw the other leaf and cut it out as well. After I cut them out, I put some lighter green paint in the center, just as I did with the berries.

Now I'll add some red glitter to the berries to make them look awesome. I put some glue in the middle, but you don't want to put too much. Also, make sure you have a piece of paper underneath everything if you're using loose glitter. That way, when you finish gluing (the glitter) and everything, you can just tap off the excess and put everything back. If you notice (1:46), I'm using the lid of my container so I don't waste half of my glitter: accidents do happen and you might accidentally put way too much like I did...I'm going to start cleaning this up, and get rid of the excess glitter by just flicking (the berries) in the back. I take the piece of paper that has the leftover glitter, pinch the bottom of it, align it with the tube of glitter that I have, and flick the back of the paper so that all the glitter falls back (into the tube).

I'm just going to glue everything (berries and 2 leaves) together. What I did is take some gold glitter glue to make the veins of the leaf. I added some silver glitter to add some highlights to the berries. What you can do now include a bunch of options: you can glue this (holly) to a hairpin, or a headband, or a ribbon to make it into a bracelet, or whatever jewelry. You could put it on a card, you could put it on a hat, you could put it on your shoes (etc). Make as many as you want and put it as decoration. Just use your imagination and have fun with it...
