• How to Make a Duct Tape Pencil Pouch

Do you love duct tape? Well, of course you do. Everyone does. I know I do. You might be surprised to know that everyone loves duct tape so much, we could wrap the amount of duct tape bought every year around the Earth over twelve times. That's a lot of duct tape. Since we buy and apparently use so much duct tape, what do we use it for? Well, I'm going to show you a very practical use for duct tape. I'm going to show you how to make a duct tape pencil pouch...

Making a duct tape pencil pouch is so much fun, because you can personalize it anyway you want: stickers, sharpies, anything. Also, you can make it any size to hold anything you want,  like your markers,  glasses, even your wallet. It's a very fast craft and a wonderful gift.

All you need to make your duct tape pencil pouch is:

    - one roll of duct tape
    - a pair of scissors
    - a ruler
    - velcro (optional, to seal your duct tape pencil pouch)

To make your duct tape pencil pouch, cut about 5-7 pieces of duct tape around 12 inches long each. Lay them out, adhesive side up, so that the edges are touching. Next, cut off more pieces of duct tape the width of your established duct tape rectangle, and lay them out across the rectangle. Make sure no duct tape adhesive surface is showing.

Now you should have a duct tape rectangle with duct tape covering on both sides with no adhesive showing. Fold your duct tape rectangle in half, then cut off two pieces of duct tape the length of the sides of your duct tape pouch. Place one of the pieces at one edge of your pouch in order to seal that end of the rectangle. Do the same with the other duct tape piece on the other end of the rectangle.

Your duct tape pencil pouch should now be finished and now you can decorate it any way you want: stickers, sharpies, etc. Now you can make these any time you want, and you can give them to anybody you like!
