    Red Angry Bird Cupcake

Hey, everyone! So today I'm going to show you how to make an Angry Birds (red bird) cupcake. Hope you guys enjoy...

    Level 1: Orange Slice "Beak"

1-1. First you're going to take a knife or cooking scissors and a plate, then you're going to take some orange slices. I got mine at a really big place where they sell a bunch of candy, but you can find them pretty much anywhere. You're going to put sugar on your plate just to make it easier when you're cutting the orange slice so it doesn't stick. Then you're going to cut the orange slice into a triangle. Then you're going to cut that in half so you'll have 2 triangles. You're going to take one of the triangles and cut that in half again. So you'll have 2 slim triangles. Then you're going to take the 2 and you're kind of just going to start pinching them together and forming the Angry Birds beak shape. It's really hard to explain. Try your best to eye it pretty much. I'm just making a beak shape by pinching the orange slices. It should look something like this (see image above).

    Level 2: Sweet Bird "Body"

2-1. Then you're going to take some red frosting - I tinted mine with food dye - and frost your cupcake. You don't want to put too much frosting because you're going to put red sugar on it. So you don't want to go crazy with the frosting, trust me. You're just going to put a fair amount of frosting on it.

2-2. Then you're going to take some red sugar. I'm using Wilton (brand) and you can find it at Michaels or Target. You're now going to dunk your cupcake into a bowlful of the sugar. This is optional, but I think it makes the Angry Birds cupcake look a lot better.

    Level 3: Frosted "Belly"

3-1. And then you're going to scrape off the icing (and sugar) in one spot. This is where the belly will go. It's really hard to explain, but if you can just find a picture of the red Angry Bird, you can do your best to create that kind of shape for the belly. The shape is kind of like a football, in a way, LOL.

3-2. Then you're going to clean your spatula - you want to make sure it's completely clean. I'm using this Easy Frost stuff and it's by Pillsbury®. This is optional, you don't have to use this. You can just use normal frosting from a can, but I like this better. Now you're going to frost that one cupcake section (the red Angry Bird's "belly"); with the Easy Frost, you're going to put a big blob then you're pretty much going to smooth it out. Kind of smooth it out, then take the spatula away and swipe it on a plate, etc. You're just going to keep smoothing the frosting out. It doesn't have to be perfect, because it's really hard to get that perfect. And if you do get a little bit of red in the Angry Bird's frosted belly, just use your fingernail to pick it out. That sounds kind of gross, but whatever, LOL.

Anger Management: Putting the Cupcake Together

Then you're going to take your Angry Bird's "beak" and you're going to stick the tip of it in the center of your cupcake, so that the very point of it will be in the center.

For the eyes of the red Angry Bird, I'm using these candy eyeballs by Wilton, and I found these at Target. You can also find them at Michaels and probably A. C. Moore and other craft stores. I'm just taking 2 of the eyes and sticking them on right above the bird beak. Here we go...I find that I don't like the color of the Angry Bird's pupils, so I'm using some black frosting and dabbing it on right where the pupils should go. And don't worry about peaks, because once the cupcake dries, you can just pat those down.

Now you're going to take these licorice candies. I don't know how to explain them, but they look like this (see above). I'm using 2 black ones, and they're going to be the Angry Bird's tail. And I'm just putting two dots of the black frosting because earlier I found that the candies would keep falling. So I'm pretty much doing this (the black frosting) for support. And just stick them on...A lot of this cupcake came from just eyeing a red Angry Bird's picture and stuff.

Level Clear: Finishing the Red Angry Bird

For the angry eyebrows, you're going to use the same candies. You're just going to stick it above the eyes. You can also use the black frosting again if you can't find these candies. And then, for the bird's "hair," you're going to take 2 red jelly beans, and you're going to stick them on near the left eyebrow.

So that is pretty much it for your red Angry Birds cupcake. I hope you guys liked this tutorial. Bye!
