Opening minute: "The requirements for my Littlest Pet Shop composition book are..."
Hey, guys, this is Me18LPS here, and I'm going to show you how to make a notebook for your
Littlest Pet Shop (pet). What you need is:
- some tape
- scissors
- a regular sheet of computer printer paper or, if you don't have that, you can use notebook paper
- poster board. Any kind will do in any color, but I chose one that's awesome because it has 2 colors. (Oh yeah!)
Scribble: "Grab an image for the Book of Mormon Norcom."
What you'll need to do is go onto your computer, go to Google Images search, and type in "black composition book Norcom 46010." Norcom is the brand of the notebook I used, so that's why I typed that in. And the number of the notebook I used is 46010. That's what you need to type in to the Google Images search bar (0:58). The second picture is going to look like a Composition Book cover (1:19). That's what you're going to want to save. Just call it whatever you want (when you Save As), I don't care. You might need to go into your paint (graphics) program - or something like that, whatever you guys have - and resize the image because it's kind of big, and it might be too big for your Littlest Pet Shop (LPS). So I resized mine, then I printed it out.
Jotting: "Cut out the notebook cover."
What you're going to do is take a small piece of tape, about 2 cm long, roll it up (into a tube, sticky side out) and then fold it in half. Tape it to the back of your notebook picture. Your picture won't be cut out (of the paper it's printed on), but I already cut mine out...Then, tape the notebook picture to a corner of a sheet of your poster board. Cut out that poster board section, around the notebook picture. Then cut closely along the edges of the pic (all the way around, 3:18)...
Now take another piece of tape, the same size as the previous piece. Roll this one up too, and place it at the back of the cut-out notebook-poster board combo. Then tape this cutout to the poster board. You could also use cardboard, whatever works better for you...Then cut out this poster board section. Next, do the exact same thing you did before by cutting around the edges of the notebook picture. Ta da! (4:45)
Now, what you should have is a stack with 2 poster board leaves and a paper layer (the notebook printout on top). Separate the poster board back layer (opening the stack). Remove the connecting tape piece - who cares about that...? Now you have your 2 poster board pieces (side by side), one of them having the composition book pic on it (on the opposite face). Take some tape and tape the poster board pieces together (5:26). We're done with this part for now.
Memorandum: "Fold the inner pages."
Now we move on to white paper (a clean sheet). Cut a strip of it. I already started cutting it - I'll cut it a little more...I'll cut the rough edge off because I ripped the sheet...Okay, remember the little doodad (the composition book cover) that we made 5 seconds ago? We're going to use that. You're going to want to take it and line one of the strip's short edges with the middle crease of the LPS book cover...At the level where it meets the outer edge of the book cover, fold the strip up and in (6:15). Now, at the level where the strip's folded-over short edge meets the rest of the strip, fold the strip back (the opposite direction in which you folded it before). Keep folding the strip back and forth and back and forth (all the way down it's length).
It does get kind of boring after a while. I've made 10 of these (Littlest Pet Shop composition books), this is actually my 11th. So, this is kind of boring right now. I just thought you guys might like to know...By the way, I'm using these for an episode of a Littlest Pet Shop movie called Boarding Academy Disaster; the acronym is B-A-D, which spells "bad," and that's totally perfect. And that episode is going to be put on my PetShopLovers3's account, because my sister and I are working on it together...
If there's a portion at the end of the strip that's smaller than the other segments, cut it off. Now what you do is open/unfold the strip a little bit and put one of the strip's short edges back in the crease (of the LPS notebook cover, 8:47). Take a piece of tape and tape the strip there until it's stuck now. Weeee! Fold in another 2 segments of the strip (lining up the fold between the segments with the notebook cover crease), put in another piece of tape (to hold the segments). Fold the strip in, put another piece of tape, etc. Fold in the last single segment, and put yet another piece of tape. Yes, I know, it's a lot of tape. Hopefully, your parents don't get mad that you're using all this tape (for some Littlest Pet Shop project)...
Final Annotation: "Make the LPS notebook look neat."
Now you've got a composition book with paper hanging out of one edge. You've got your book with the pages on the inside, etc. But we're not done yet, no we are not. Close your LPS book. Then what you do is trim off the (excess) paper on the edge, and then it should be good. If you want to trim (the "pages" inside the book) a little more, you can. If you want to tape it down a little better or take a glue stick to it, I don't care. But that's how I made my Littlest Pet Shop notebook. And there you go, I hope you found this helpful...
